When the Good Humor Band decided to put out a CD they knew
it would be an undertaking. They waded through piles of
live cassettes, master tapes of unreleased studio recordings, a legendary Richmond, Virginia #1
single they recorded under another name (okay, it was Algae Water by
Jet Trash), and then got so carried away they decided to
go into the studio and record six new songs. The
result is 19 (count 'em, nineteen!) songs on one CD, ranging
from 1978's D.W.I. featuring Evan Johns and Danny
Gatton to last year's The Jukebox Lost in Space. It's
a lot of history rolled into one round piece of plastic.
And not the kind they teach in school. Well, not unless
you went to Rock 'n' Roll High School.
